Our Values
We know that being kind and positive isn't always rosy. It can be difficult to treat our neighbors with respect and dignity. We are a classroom where Kindness, Empathy, and Honesty are habits! We forgive others when they've hurt us. We apologize when we've hurt others. We make mistakes and learn from them. We are dEfinitELy nOt pErfeCt! We value others' voices and opinions. We strive to do our best both in and out of the classroom emotionally, academically, behaviorally, and socially!
Our Vibe
To SHARE JOY and make a positive difference in our school and community by sharing Kind Acts and Kind Words with our neighbors! ALL ARE WELCOME! #InclusionRevolution
This school year we've teamed up with Jefferson High School, in which their juniors and seniors with special needs come to Woodlawn Academy as part of their Work-Based-Learning program.
We created "Art for Ace," an art club where our students create art to sell to our community. Normally, all money made from purchases would go directly back into supporting our club, however, during December money made from art purchases will go directly to the San Antonio Food Back as a monetary donation.
